Braid Hills Hotel is one of Edinburgh’s premier wedding venues, hosting one couple per day and offering fantastic city views, ample free parking and outdoor space for your exclusive use.

We can accommodate your entire wedding or event on-site including overnight accommodation for your guests in one of our 71 refurbished bedrooms.

  • Wedding Ceremonies

    We are delighted to be able to host religious, humanist and civil ceremonies/partnerships within our suites so it really is down to you which would suit you both. You can also host your ceremony out with the hotel and then join us for your wedding breakfast and reception.

    Civil Ceremonies are available in all of our event suites from 10 to 120 guests and for that extra special touch when the Scottish weather allows you can enjoy a ceremony with castle, city and Forth views from our spacious decking.

  • Wedding Breakfast

    We have wedding suites to suite all sizes for your wedding breakfast. Our wedding co-ordinators will go through your ideas on entertainment, chair covers, centre pieces, place settings and favours offering suggestions and recommendations. Our suites are also filled with alcoves and extra lighting, the perfect addition to your colour scheme. Your meal will be specially selected and taste tested by your prior to the day so that you can be sure your guests will love each course.

    Catering for one wedding per day for up to 120 guests you can be assured of a dedicated service from our events team.

  • Evening Reception

    With our check-board dance floor and range of recommended live bands and DJ’s you can ensure a real celebration for your evening with friends and family. We have a range of hearty eventing buffets ready to keep you all dancing and can arrange to have your favourite drinks ready at the bar. Our private decking is also a keen favourite for celebratory cigars.

Here at Braid Hills Hotel we are proud to support local businesses and have a number of established local partners whom we recommend to our guests.

Each of our selected suppliers will be attending our quarterly Open Evenings to discuss arrangements with clients for their big day. This is a great opportunity to view the set-up’s available from each supplier and discuss any queries you may have without obligation.

Welcome to Hey J Events, a small business based out of Edinburgh bringing a bespoke events/party/wedding offer to East Central Scotland. We aim to take the stress & hassle out of organising those special occasions such as your little ones birthday, best friends hen do, your own wedding reception or perhaps your sisters baby shower!

  • Teepee Wedding Corners – providing a beautiful bespoke area for the kids to relax, play or even sleep at the wedding but still look fab in your photos ♡
  • Bespoke add-ons to any party or event including doughnut walls, personalised slippers, eye masks, robes and party boxes ♡

  • Spring/Summer 2020 – our fabulous 5m bell tents will be available for booking for outdoor themed as a lounge area for any outdoor events ♡

We use the highest quality of fabrics when it comes to our linens – which includes decorative linens such as sequin, lace and tartan – all of which can be viewed in our colour gallery.

To complement our beautiful linens, we supply a full range of other products such as centrepieces, ceremony decorations, Starlight & LED Backdrops, White Starlight Dancefloors and Carnival Letters and Uplighters to name only a few.

Our full professional set up service is second to none, and we also offer self set up options as well if preferred.

Blueberry Cakes is a family business based in the south of Edinburgh run by award-winning cake designer Lynne Gray. Your delicious cake will be home baked to order using fresh ingredients and will be baked, designed and decorated by Lynne personally.

Lynne has always been passionate about cake design and decorating and has successfully completed City & Guilds courses in sugarcraft and sugar flowers, winning international medals at the Salon Culinaire in London.  This is reflected in her attention to detail and professional finish.

Gluten free? Not a problem. Lynne has developed special recipes for clients with food allergies and intolerances.
