1886 Restaurant is a spacious, conservatory style dining room with dark wood tables and comfortable leather chairs. The Restaurant is flooded with natural daylight and enjoys panoramic views across Braidburn Vellay Park, Edinburgh City and the Firth of Forth beyond.
Seasonality is the driving force within our restaurant menu, showcasing the best local produce for the time of year.
Edinburgh Bar & Lounge
Welcoming residents and non-residents since the hotel opened its doors in 1886 The Edinburgh Bar & Lounge offers a comfortable place to meet with friends and family. The hotel and bar have been immortalised in the famous Jean Brodie novel and we imagine the windows described in the famous novel are in our Edinburgh Bar & Lounge.
Our Bar and Lounge is open from 9am daily and offers Tea and Coffee and Bar Meals from 2pm until 9.00pm. An extensive range of wine by the glass, beers, malt whisky and coffee’s with monthly promotions.
